Default 06 Moonroof Leaks?

Anyone else have this issue, yesterday it was raining here is S. Fla and I actually had the moonroof shade open (which I usually dont) and noticed before it started raining that I could actually here wind noise. So then fastfoward to the raining part... at a stoplight and got a itch to see if I could feel water from where I thought I heard wind noise, and from both of the rear corners of the moonroof I have drips. I can see the drips, and noticed that lexus also has a black plastic piece that runs along the back of the moonroof but actually underneath the glass to basically catch the drips?!?!? So is this normal? I dont ever remember my honda's or nissan's ever doing this? So just wanted to get a consensus from everyone here.

tia.

I heard "wind noise" before as well. Come to find out my sunroof wasn't completely closed. May want to try opening fully and then closing.

I am positive it was closed... next time you are going over 50 mph.. open your moonroof shade.. and listen, you will hear it.. the thing I want to know is if this is something Lexus knows about hence why they installed the black peice right under the whole rear of the glass to basically catch the water.. kind of weird if you ask me..

Default I have heard it too

One time I took my 06GS300 into an automatic car wash. The high pressure hoses shooting water at the car passed overhead. Suddenly, I felt a drop on more forehead. I looked in the rear-view and sure enough, a water droplet right in the middle of my forehead. Later, I inspected the moonroof but could not find a leak, and never heard wind noise when driving. go figure.

moonroofs are such a pain in the ***. better not to have one at all.

after several years, they become loose and rattle.
