they forgot to p-shop the new rims on the blurry reflection in this pic. You can see the line going thru the middle of the spoke (06-07 style). I thought I'd hate the facelift and new rims, but i actually like it a lot.

06 has gen 4, which means it's the same as my 05 sc430. if that's the case, that's really quite a bit off from the newest one

I must admit that as a 2nd Gen GS400/430 owner like myself, I had very high expectations that the GS460 would @ least deliver 400 hp with Direct Injection, when Lexus decided not to put DI on the 460 was truly a total letdown on my part. Why is Lexus playing it safe again, is it because there scared that if the GS460 makes more power than the flagship LS460 that the GS will cannibalize the sales of the LS ? I'm also disappointed the lack of sport package, I mean the E-Class, 5 Series, M35/45 offers it, I just can't understand why Lexus won't offer it as well.

I would imagine a dealer could be negotiated with vigorously right now on an '07. Some of course still won't move.
Exactly. I remember when I sat in the IS350 with gen 5 - it was so obviously better visually... Now if they didn't lock out so much stuff while moving and had better voice recognition...

yeah the lockout is a bummer. but at least i seem to have found the plug and play solutions for it, so that might be ok after all. i am not into cutting and splicing wires, but for a plug an play system it's much more manageable (though i still wish from factory they have that capability)

i say it's yet another typo. it (adaptive variable air suspension) is listed under gs350 options. however if you read the performance section, it doesn't say anything about that. it ONLY talks about adaptive variable suspension, which i think is different from the air suspension (please correct me). it also states under AVS that it's standard on gs460 and optional on gs350. so that would be my guess that they are trying to say adaptive variable suspension, no air
if they indeed do have air suspension option for the gs350 and not the gs460, that would be very weird. but that would also make the gs350 with that option so much more attractive to me

I finally found pictures of starfire pearl GS460

and I hope this will put the "direct injection" thing to rest.
A D-4S (Direct injection 4-stroke Superior version) stoichiometric direct injection system, the world’s only automotive injection system to adopt two injectors per cylinder, is combined with Lexus’ Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing * intelligent). Combining the strengths of both port injection and direct injection, D-4S realises higher engine output and lower emissions.
