OK I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but I noticed after I got my GS that every one I saw on the street now and it the past have all had female drivers/owners. It really didn't hit me until today when I was telling a co-worker about my GS and she said her girlfriend had one. I have never seen a guy drive one other then me. Is it like this in your area?
Also, does Toyota have a car that shares the same platform as the GS? I know the Camry is the same as the Lexus ES.
Thanks

I don't see many GS's around town and never gave it much thought. Don't let it bother you (if it does), and I say if you want it to look like a man's car, lower it and put some nice 20's on your ride.
This will give it a man's look!

Any car that appeals to a man will most likely appeal to a woman as well, and usually vice versa. Less the socialized macho/ego elements, we're all pretty much made of the same stuff at the core. The key difference here is that, lately, women have had the earning power to buy whatever types of cars they like, which, invariably, are the same types of cars that men want to buy if they had the money.
I've found the only rule for which this generally does not apply is for vehicles that pose physical challenges to women -- large trucks/SUVS, or big, powerful sports cars, especially those with manual transmissions.

I asked a random woman at the dealership when I bought it what she thought about it, and she said it looked very masculine. I just don't see why so many women drive them. I really don't want to resort to lowering and adding 20"'s. I'm not opposed to it but I'm having a hard time finding a set of 20's that appeal to me. If the OEM wheels came in 20" they would be perfect.

i dont think it's a "chick" car. when i think of "chick" car, i think of a Jetta, Bug, Honda Del sol, or an SLK. With the GS and especially with 18s, it looks more like a gentlemen's car =). In the bay area, I've seen mostly men drive this car around.

Well IMHO, the RX is more of a 'chick' car, that and a beetle cabriolet . . .
I think the GS is fairly balanced in terms of women/men drivers. However I do see alot more women driving the 4LS than men

I've seen a fair mix of men/women drivers of the GS myself, but when I'm driving my wife's RX....I notice that at least 9 out of 10 RX's I see have female drivers. Just my personal observation.
