I did go to insurance company. They issued me a check for $1500.00 for get this "car depreciation". So Im gonna take that money and put it towards a lawyer and see what happens. If I dont get anywhere with a lawyer Im just gonna upgrade to the GS460 when it comes out.

Default Here we go again!!!!!

Car still leaking water and now i have tons of mold. After having the car fixed 3 times still no replacement. So last week I took the dash apart to see if I could find the leak. Low and bold I found 2. One behind the instrument panel and the other is from the white canister behind the info screen. So my question is does this now fall under the lemon law? Lease only has 8 months left but I really dont want to drive the car due to mold. Thanks in advance for any help

there is a TSIB for the A/C not draining and it clogs up and fills your car up...i have already done 2 GS like this...your supposed to replace the drain (which is right above the tranny, which means dropping the tranny) but instead if you cut the drain out bigger it drains perfect...so we just charge for removing and cleaning the carpet...

Default did that

Had the drain checked. Its not that. I have video of water coming from behind the instrument panel. The white canister has a crack in it. I think they never fixed it. Another thing is my dash is in crooked there is a half inch gap on the drivers side door between the door and dash but on the passenger side the dash touches the door. So im wondering if this is whats causing the canister to crack. Does that make sense???

get the piece replaced. and tell them to fix your dash. carpet. the six pads under the carpet. it should all be warranty or insurance. or threaten to call the BBB.

damn man I think thats the most frustrating situation I have heard of on club lexus. I would raise hell with the insurance company and the dealership. You need to realize they might both try to avoid taking any responsibility. I really hope you get all of this resolved in your favor.

wow... yeah i'd raise hell on the insurance company and the dealer. the more (legal) loopholes u can find and use against them the faster they'll get moving. you just gotta find the right fire to throw under their a$s

It doesnt fall under the lemon law. The lemon law implies that a car have to have a safety issue or operational issue that the dealer cannot fix after 3 trieds. Water is not a safety issue, but I would have a lawyer write the dealer and Lexus headquarter a letter of your intend to sue. That will wake up Lexus, they hate law suits.

Good Luck

this thread is a little old....do you even still have the car, or is the lease up? not saying I still wouldn't take this up with a lawyer, but was wondering if you were able to just "drop" it off at the bank.
