About 23 on GS350. Pretty much 50/50 mix of freeway/surface streets.

So I took my GS350 for it's first long distance trip just a weekend after picking up my car. I took my usual trip to the Bay Area during labor day weekend. I was able to complete a 1200 mile trip. To my surprise (started with 450 on the ODO on my trip) I was achieving fantastic mileage numbers, almost as close to my old 1999 Toyota Solara SE V6 Manual (1MZ-FE 3.0L). According to the trip computer, I was averaging 27-28mpg with a total of 3 people in the car, A/C and averaging 80-85 mph. So far so good, the 2GR-FSE is exceeding my expectations. I can make a tank of gas from SoCal to NorCal without stopping. Mind you I do the old fashioned way of calculating gas mileage (Mileage Driven/Gallons used = MPG).

My previous, 04 IS300 (2JZ-GE 3.0 I-6) was definitely a gas hog in comparison. 23-24mpg tops on the highway with a small 17 gallon tank.

Here's a screen shot of the Trip Computer during trip...

Trip going up...

Trip coming back...

For typical city driving in the land of "would you like silicone or saline for your breast enhancement?", I get about 16 MPG on my GS350. Long drive on the freeway,...29 - 31MPG going 75MPH with the A/C on and 50 lbs in the trunk. A bit better then the 15/27MPG I got with my '05 RL (5 spd auto) and semi-comparable to the 14/30 MPG I got with my '00 Regal GS (4 spd auto).

with lots of local driving it's around 18MPG. With 50/50 highway/local, I get around 21-22MPG... but I average 70-80MPH on the highway.
