Weird Smell

After about 3 months of driving in dusty Kuwait my AC starts blowing weak on recirc mode, loses the ability cool rapidly, and a gives off a slight suction noise from the glove box...this is because the filter gets clogged with dust. I just take it out and give it a good thumping (don't attempt to wash it). Then the AC blows strong and cold once again.
My '06 GS had issues with smelly foot-locker odors when the AC wasn't in recirc mode...the '07 doesn't seem to have this problem. I believe that had something to do with the evaporator - search some of the old threads.
Cheers!

Just got the filter changed and boy what a difference. That thing was super filthy. The service rep said it should be changed every 10K and the car has 19K miles....so it was overdue. My wife had been complaining of sinus pressure and headaches......poor girl.....no wonder. I think there is design flaw to need an AC filter that often. It's not every model Lexus that needs this. What a trip!
