Yeah, I saw it last night. And man it was amazing! The maneuvers shown were simply crazy and I dunno if the GS460 can do that but nevertheless it goes to show that Lexus can sell sporty cars and they have to sell more of the GS this year!

Why couldn't the GS460 do it?
You can do that with many RWD cars with moderate power, it really depends on the driver.
there's supposed to be another commercial in this series, called "doughnut".
has anyone seen this one yet?
I'm assuming it's a sideview, rather than a birdseye view, of the trick.
I caught it tonight, and I'm processing it right now for upload. It's indeed a bird's-eye view of the doughnut - another awesome spot. I'll have it up in a few minutes.
^LOL, finally saw both commercials tonite during MNF - now I completely understand what you guys have been talking about (watercooler moment). I had to do a double take during 'Etiquette', like is that a 3GS I see in a 4 wheel drift !?! I think they need to reshoot 'Doughnut', the entire commercial from a birdeye doesn't do the 3GS justice - better if it panned to different angles as the GS spins by. Is it me or is the Lexus voiceover guy the perfect fit for the overall Lexus image - slight tinge of arrogance while exuding familiarity, confidence and class . . .
I think people's impressions of 'Doughnut' would have been much more positive if they would have released it before 'Etiquette.' The fact that 'Etiquette' contains footage of 'Doughnut' makes it a perfect follow-up - not unlike the sequence in which they release movie trailers.
