Hi,
This is really annoying to be reminded every single time when using voice navigation - "say a command after..." I GOT IT, just beep already!!! Do you know how to change this long prompt to just a beep? PLEASE?

Two questions about this:

1) What is the difference (in the setup menu) between "Voice Recognition Guidance", "Auto Voice Guidance" and "Voice Guidance On in All Modes"? Did you turn off only one of those or all of them?

2) When I turned them off (all 3), the only thing that actually went off is the initial "Say a command". All the other stuff ("After briefly pressing the talk key....") is still happening. Is this just the way it is (I can live with it if I have to, inquiring minds just want to know) or can you actually turn it off so you just hear Beep Beep Beep Beep?

I have the VRG off and it just beeps, beeps, and beeps.

The differences can be determined from the owner's manual...

Yang, is that true in all modes, so if in Nav mode, you would press talk, beep, say Address (no prompt), press talk, beep, say Nebraska (no prompt), press talk, beep, say Omaha (no prompt), etc? And same thing in Call by Name and Call by Number?

I would assume so. I've never done the address prompt. The only thing I do with voice recognition is just commands like "Go home" or "Destination number 1" from the quick access number.

So it goes... Press, beep, "go home", beep, "enter destination", and then my navi says "setting destination as home" and off I go.

Frost, can you confirm that the results are the same as Yang's -- you get only beeps, no voice prompts? Also, did you turn off all 3, or just the one called "Voice Recognition Guidance"?
