This combination is a possibility for us (not our first choice, but a possibility) in a new 2007. However, when I test drove it yesterday, it seemed to me that the black wood on the steering wheel got fingerprints very easily -- like I'd have to wipe it down everytime I drive it. Is this a legitimate issue, or am I overthinking? (FWIW, first choice would be black with cashmere interior). Thanks.

i guess it depends how OCD you are, but i don't mind it at all. we have the brown walnut in the RX (which would be similar to the brown that comes w/ the GS cashmere interior) and it shows smudges just as easily. it's just the texture and polish of the steering wheel that shows the smudges.

Thanks, but our dealer has now located the color we want, which is cashmere interior with the golden maple wood accents. Now we're negotiating the price!

^ Congrats, tell us how you like the cashmere interior with the dark brown dash & trim. I think the black dash & trim would give a sportier look with the cashmere interior (like in the IS). Now make sure you drive it like the ones in the new GS commericals . . .
