Default Price for a leftover '07 GS350 RWD

What price should I aim for on a 2007 GS350 RWD, with a MSRP of 49k?

Invoice is 43k, but if you take into account holdback, its 42k.

Given that it's the end of the year, what should I ask for? 40k?

Thanks.

I'm curious as well... perhaps waiting around for December may give us more insight?

One guy paid 42650 + TTL for the identical configuration in Southern California several weeks ago.

It'd be sad if they still have 07 leftovers by December.

So help me understand. I've been hearing people buying GS for under invoice.
How is that possible? Are dealers selling these left overs at loss? Or do they have another hidden hold backs so they still make money?

Lexus is pretty popular here in the pacific north west but we only have 3 dealers in the area and 2 of them are owned by same owners, competetion is almost non-existant. I thought I was lucky to get $3700 off at the end of July.

I am buying my next car in SoCal and having it shipped. $9000 off MSRP is just too cool.

I'm assuming that there are a ton of hidden holdbacks on these vehicles.

I'll just say that the huge discounts really aren't doing our resale values any justice. Galves values the 07 GS350 in the high 30s range, right now.
