raced some clown on a motorcycle yesterday on the way home from work on a desrt highway. We started at about 60 mph cruising next to eachother. Then I gunned it. I had him by 10 feet until 90 then he passed me by 2 car legths and couldnt pull after that. He stopped accelerating at about 110mph. I passed him , gave him the victory symbol and kept going all the way up to 135. Lots of fun.

How did the GS handle going 147 mph, did it vibrate at all? How was the handling?

haha i did the exact same except northbound coming home from uci

and i dont think i noticed any vibration. it was very smooth. all i did notice was the air coming through the vents, wind from the outside, and the roar of the engine XD

actually the handling wasn't as good as the BMW (Lexus are you listening?); the suspension was too soft and the car wabbles when I took a turn so I slowed it down immediately. Just wanted to test out the ECU limit.

u mean going back FROM HOME to uci? lol I was going down to ucsd :P were you sure that the car didn't wabble when you wanted to change lanes or take turns? unless your car is equipped w/ AVS... (or APSSS but i thought that was only available to the GS430/460)

of course, and sorry. Like I said I was just testing the top speed limiter; would never do that again to my baby.

I think this thread was for the purpose of seeing how fast these cars have gone and definitely not to condone speeding. Just for educational purposes??? Right??

I sped once....maybe twice.....
actually went 135 in the GS, my wife called and she hurt herself pretty bad at home and needed to go to emergency, called me at work crying at work and I couldnt tell what was wrong.
Did 125 in a lifted GMC Dually when my Son fell bad and needed to go to emergency.
We are well known at the hospital by now, frequent visitor card!!!

I normally drive at or near the speed limit...

I was going to my house after leaving UCI. haha and I didn't dare switching lanes or anything, I just tried keeping the steering wheel straight as possible

Bumped the limiter maybe a few times on trips from GA to FL. 138-146 depending on the variables. The 3GS is by far more stable than my 2GS was. The original tires (Bridgestones) were a bit "Floaty", but the F1's feel solid. I feel very confident in the steering and braking issues that was of concern in other posts. Speeding laws were meant to be broken or we'd have a lot of Troopers unemployed.
