What Is The Widest Tire I Can Run Front And Rear On 20's
Im Running An 8.5 Inch Front And 10.0 Inch Rear. The Guy At Wheel Shop Says You Can Go With A 255/30 Front And 285/25 Rear. I Know The 285/25 Is Almost Exactly Same Diam As Stock And The 255/30 Is Only 1.2 % Over Stock So It Should Fit, But I Want To Know If Anyone Out There Has Tried This Set Up Or At Least A 245/30 Front. In My Mind It Seems Strange To Use A 245 Width Bec Thats What The Stock Width Is. All The Local Area Lexus Dealers Are Using 255/30 All The Way Around So It Should Be Safe. I Saw A Black Gs350 With A 285/25 Rear Tire And The Damn Thing Looked Like A Drawing, Almost To Cool To Be Real. I Know The Issue We Have With The Rubberband Tires But I Live In Phoenix Where The Roads Are Mostly Brand New. I Dont Want To Run The Typical 245/35/20 F And 275/30/20 R Bec Even Though People Say They Cant Tell, The Front Tire Is Larger Than The Front And The Car Looks Like Its Drooped Lower On The Front. Then They Wonder Why Alot Of Them Are Having Rubbing Issues. To Play This Game You Have To Stick To The Stock Diameters, Then You Can Dump The Car And Have No Rubing Issues

Check the link. According to the tire size calculator, 255 width tire should be fine on 8.5 width rim.

this is the setup that I just ordered, will let you know and see how they look in 3 weeks! At same time I get these wheels put on, I am having Tein H Tech's springs put on aswell. We shall see!! Everyone has told me, all should be well b/c of the less agressive drop on the Tein's.

What are the offsets of your wheel? I rubbed like hell on the rear with +36 offset and a 285 tire (dumped on tein cs). Im now running 255s on the rear, and the ride is great.
