What should i offer/pay?!?! (used GS350)
Hey guys, I am in the market to buy a GS and I was wondering what should I offer/pay for these two.
First is
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true
7,XXXK miles / asking $44,XXXK / loaded with ML
i was thinking starting at 40K
Second is this one
http://www.lexusofmissionviejo.com/V...ails/830571144
15,XXX miles / asking is 41,XXXK / Nav, (NO ML)
for this one i was thinking 38K
My original intentions was getting an 06 GS430, I found quite a few at under 40K with around 20-30k miles, but i prefer the 350.
THANKS!! excuse my confusing thread LoL.

seriously at this point i don't see much point on getting used. i mean, brand new 07 gs350 leftovers are going for 42k and 44k (msrp 49k and 51k) everywhere. so in your case, you are talking about saving 4k for 7k miles or 15k miles?
i would go pay that extra without 2nd thought

model differences are minimal between GS 350 vs. GS 430 *talking about options...
lexus dealerships have great financing terms and prices at this time of the year. purchasing new or old (depending on price, financing, etc.) may have savings....
I purchased a pre-owned GS 430 private party b/c of the V8, price, seller history records, mileage and vehicle options....
and at that time I calculated a significant amount of savings $$$ for me to go this route....
if you don't have a preference...GS350 is a great car !

I settled on my 07 GS350 AWD last night for $2k below invoice. The dealer confirmed there was dealer dollars to get the price so low. He wouldn’t tell me how much though.

Edmunds says invoice on an 07 GS350 in the So Cal area is running $38,800 so if you can get some $$ knocked off that you'll be sittin' pretty.
Here's a method that has worked for myself and others in the past. Look up your car on carsdirect.com the price they quote you is usually at or near invoice price. Print up the page, take it to the dealer and ask them to BEAT that price, not match, BEAT. You'll get a bunch of standard lines they learn on countering internet prices but just leave the print-out with your phone number on it on his/her desk and split.
A second option is to play one dealer against another, I've done that one also which seems to work well. When you do this it tells them you're shopping the competition and that you're not afraid to walk out after they have worked their best "deal." They all paid the mfg the same price for the car so why pay dealer X's mark-up when dealer Y has a lower mark up, maybe they have better volume who knows but your problem is only getting the best price.

Congrats on your car purchase. The 2 GS350 prices I found were in the mid 40k's:

I hope you were able to get a better deal.
