Can anybody give me any info on lowering this thing? Will tannabe or eibachs 430 fit? I have to get this thing lowered. Any advice

According to Tanabe, they don't have any springs tested for 450h yet. They said you can use the 430 springs, but there's no guarantee. Has anyone use NF210s on the hybrid?

The most that can happen is the car sits a little bit lower then other 3GS. I have DF210s and according to tanabe its the same spring as GS300, GS350, GS430 and GS460s. Got to remember, the GS430 and GS460s have a V8 in them so it will weigh more in the front.

Does anyone know how much more the GS450h weighs compared to a GS3XX or GS4XX non hybrid?

I think the 450h is 400lb heavier than the 430/460.

I guess I was mistaken (got the 400 lb. from other posts in the forum). whlkev's numbers are correct per the Lexus website.

So its about 150 from 350 to 460 and about 200 for the 460 to 450h. I wouldnt worry about it really, if it was me I would get DFs and slam it... more weight = lower. lol, but thats me, I like to ride low. If you are worried, then get NFs and it should go SLIGHTLY lower, but it wont be as low as the DFs.

I wished I worked for a wheel or spring company. lol

Be careful giving out suggestions like that. Springs made for specific vehicles by reputable suspension companies spend a lot of time doing the R&D for not only handling and aesthetics, but safety.

agree, and technically you shouldn't use springs for one specific model on another car just coz' they "fit". there is a reason companies use specific spring rate on a specific springs, etc... otherwise they will just go tell you to cut springs.

I unfortunately don't know anything about the Tanabe springs, but this person lowered his 450h with Tanabe NF210

Hi,

I must have made a typo, I used the NF210 they works just fine, lowering a little more than the specs Tanabe have on their website due to the larger weight of the car, but nothing drastic. Here is a pic of the car lowered with the OEM wheels:



I'm currently running 19" (19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 back) without any rubbing, your mileage may vary with 20" and different offset.

I agree that the NF210 will likely do the trick. However, the problem I have is that even Tanabe won't stand behind their product for the hybrid b/c it's not tested. I asked if they're looking into any R & D for the 450h and they said they're considering it.

Right now, I don't see any company out there that has springs specifically for the 450h.

Whats the worse that can happen? car sits too low? lol, u guys are too attached on the car driving like stock... just dont mod it if u want the "stock feeling"
