Default 22s ON THE GS

I might lease the gs350. I'm young and definitely want wheels on the car. I was thinking about going big with the wheels, but I've been hearing plenty of complaints on the ride with 22's. I know those type of wheels downgrade a vehicle and might go with the 18inch spider lexus wheels. What do you guys think? Replys are appreciated.

Hey, you are going to find that most guys on here hate 22's on this vehicle. Its all according how you do it though! Are you going to put three piece 22's (with big lips) on it or just some big chrome wheels with no lips. (ugly) Im actually in favor of 22's on this vehicle if done right. Lots of guys are putting 20's on the Lexus IS and its alot smaller. Def. wouldn't go smaller than 20's though. Check the forum for 22's and look at the black gs on collectizone 22's and the white gs with 22's. These are my two favorites but a lot of guys on here think they look 4x4 since they are not as low as ones with 20's and lowered. Thats just my opinion on what you should run but its your car!

22s are too big for a car of this size. with the car dumped it might cool kind of cool, but have fun driving with it. not just the ride, try to make a hard lock turn. stay with 20s, that's a good size. leave 22s to big cars like the LS, 7, or S

I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING A BLACK GS WITH BLACK RIMS WITH THE BIGGEST LIP I CAN GET. CHROME BOLTS, CENTER, AND LIP THOUGH. BUT I THINK IF I PUT 22'S I CAN'T GET THAT BIG OF A LIP CORRECT?

absolutely NOT the case. lip size is a matter of width and spoke design. larger wheels mean nothing

Yup. Research the word "offset" as well. Gotta make sure those wheels fit just right.

you can pull off 22's. ive seen write ups on wheel fitment in an annual wheel and tire guide through one of the tuner mags and they said specifcally that the gs is one of the few cars that can take 22's. the rule i go with is +1 no drop looks stupid, +2 inches and you can go with no drop or a drop and it will look solid, but on +3 fitment you absolutely need to drop. now over 3 inches over stock i know nothing about, but i can imagine you will be trading some practicality for looks. My last g35 was in super street magazine, won 2 car shows and was entered at nopi, so im over the looks over practicality crap. why not look into 21's. they are not as rare as you think. only negative is little selection in tire brands, either really pricey or really cheap
