Just read the whole thread. Looks like a great product but a little costly... Are there any other products comparable to this that does the same thing?

but actually, the other way. i had to pay MORE for the unit coz' we did several testing (money wasted) and also all the fees on shipping ONE instead of bulk. i had to pay coz' i was the one bugging them to bring the unit in for testing

i am sponsored by them on other parts on my cars.

i'm still hoping that i can find this product on ebay... but i just want to make sure that i get the right product.. the other ebay link that was posted was a different kind of set up... so i'm not sure if i should go for that one... oh well.. when i have more time i'll do a search on ebay.. right now things are kind of hectic... but if anyone finds it on ebay could you let me know .. thanks

I called Car Demand from Ebay to inquire about their product. I was told that their product does NOT override the Nav locking system.

What they offer is a BONUS of how to override the old system which does not work on the newer cars and everyone already knows. Videos are even on youtube.

I am considering purchasing the kit from PS for my new LS 460. Lexus should get a clue and change what all of their comperitors already have.

unbelievable...
anyway, im glad i was able to hack the nav unit today with some wire cutting and soddering and a switch from Lowes. the hack works as advertised!!! i love the people on clublexus!!!

You probably have but be sure and read the entire thread. The thing works fine for the year/model it was advertised for originally but it's spotty for for other applications. I thought some 08 owers had already give it a go but maybe it was just 07. I have a 06GS 300 with a gen 4 nav, Mark Lev sound and v7 dvd. It works sort of. It overrides the nav lockout for about 30 seconds then the buttons gray back out. you have to flip it off for a few secs then turn it back on and you can pick up where you left off. the watch dvd whil in motion feature works ok. Others have reported that it doesnt allow playing dvds jammed full of mp3s (data dvd full of music). I don't do that so I'm not sure. just beware there will probably be quirks depending on your year/model and equipment. depends on which features you are most interested in. i wanted in motion nav input. 30 seconds is 30 seconds more than i had before and i decided not to cut wires.

looks to me the ebay auction is the exact same one PS is selling. The only difference is the price. Looks good to me. I'm still trying to decide whether to fork up 280 and save my warranty, or cheap and no warranty. hmmmm...
