i agree if the BT and movie can always be enabled that would be a great feature. however, i would never ever cut wires on a car like this, coz' one bad move and your warranty is all voided on the audio / electronics, and those stuff are almost too insane to "replace" myself.
plug and play is the only option i would go. if it's not of this unit, i would just leave my ls460l and gs350 stock.
another cosmetic advantage is the buttons i guess. they look far better than the other setup i have seen, with led and everything (this one is subjective of course)

I installed this unit yesterday and tested my it with both audio DVD's and video DVD's. The audio portion of the video DVD did cut out when the Navi button was pressed but did not cut out when playing audio DVD's.

Update:
I have tested the NAV override with the DVD function and here are my findings.
We already know that 1) Playing a regular DVD Video, audio will mute when doing NAVI override.
2) If playing a regular audio CD, the soundtrack will mute once you hit the NAVI override.
However if you are playing an MP3/WMA disc of music, it will continue to play while using the NAVI override switch while moving.

Yeah thats what I thought too, but I guess I didn't realize it was the MP3 disc that I was playing that whole time we were testing along with the DVD that I have of the IS-F Laguna Seca trip we made a few months back.

Just switch to FM or turn off your radio while Nav overiding.. ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I have an opposite un-related issue.. While my little one is watching her movie, when we Nav overide she gets mad that she can still hear it but can't see it, well.. because we are using the Nav features..![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
So I just flip to FM or turn the Radio off until we are done with the Nav overide.. Then I put her Movie back on, so she doesn't miss the video portion.
Sometimes too many things going on while driving is difficult enough, when concentration for the road is a factor.
Not a huge glitch in my opinion..

For all the 3GS members who purchased the override units, we are in the process of sending everyone an email regarding this limitation and offer full refund for the module if they are not satisfied due to this limitation provided that the unit is not damaged. If you altered the shape of the harness due to one of the harness has minor fitments issue. This alteration will not be considered damage on the unit. If you have further question, please PM or email us.
We sincerely apologize any inconvenience this causes.
Thanks.
Mark
