2007 3GS NAV/DVD/CD Override plug-n-play kit test results - it works!

still learning my way around. This is so much better than the wire cut option which i'm sure is beyond my capability. I see topics for 2007s and Gen5 systems in general. I have a 2006 GS300 AWD that has a Gen4 Nav and satellite radio. Are there any kits/options that will work for me?
Noted in original post, I have a 2006 GS300 with Gen4 Nav and ML and dealer installed satellite radio. Car came with 5.1 dvd which had the hidden override menu via touchscreen. Lost that as expected when i upgraded to 7.1 dvd which is why i wanted the kit.
Just got my kit installed today. works as expected other than the navi override only stays in force for less than 60 seconds, not 5 minutes. In less than a minute the touch screen buttons gray out again even tho the red navi light is still on. if i click the switch off, wait a few seconds and click it back on i reacquire override capability.
Anybody else have my configuration (06 with Gen4 Nav, 7.1 dvd)? Having the same issue? Wonder if it's a quirk with 06/gen4 or if i have a faulty harness.
PS. Mark from PS has been very responsive and is on it and I'm confident will address it. Still any ideas appreciated.

Interesting. I'm beginning to believe the ML in the GS either Gen 4 or Gen 5 nav are wired differently which is causing the different operations to not work as is in the other models.

I wish we could pull out every unit and make comparisons to the rear plugs.

I have. they are trying to do a test but difficult to duplicate my combo. would like to figure out if my device is defective or just the way it always works with my configuration. Mark has been very responsive and offered a refund if nothing else. will see

Just for grins, I pulled the battery cable, then reset the nav to the 5.1 data dvd. Same results. approx 30 to 45 seconds of override time. i did notice that if i kept the speed below 30 mph, i would get maybe a minute 15 or a little more. at about 40 mph it was the 30 to 45 seconds. went back to 7.1 dvd and was able to duplicate the results. didn't use a stop watch but using the dash clock as a rough timer didn't notice any diff between 5.1 and 7.1.
definitely the override interval is dependent on speed. that is probably obvious to others but sharing just the same. that may apply to all but is more noticeable in my case where the override window is so compressed. I don't think I would have noticed the speed variation if the override stayed in force for 2 minutes or more as a norm. would have been done and clicked it off before then. In all cases the red navi light is still on even tho the touchscreen buttons have grayed back out. in all cases it's about 35-45 seconds at about 45 mph.
haven't done any timing test at 50 mph or above. maybe at that speed i will have had to set the navi target 2 days before i leave to stay inside the window
