GS300kicks

Having problem with bluetooth in my 06 GS300. When I select telephone on the info screen, the next screen shows a dialing pad but the "Setting" button does not lit up like the other 3 buttons on top (phone book, 1-touch dial, and log) and therefore I cannot get access into the setting functions. However, sometimes the "Setting" button does lit up and works ok. So is this problem from my phone because I did not turn on the bluetooth in the phone or is this a problem with the telephone section of the info touch screen? Moreover, sometimes my bluetooth drops pairing as well. What should I do now?
