Default Tire/Wheel education

I have a 2007 GS350 with 18" summer tires (which are the Yokohamas everyone seems to hate). Can someone educate me on tires and wheels please. When I'm ready to change out the Yokohamas, what should I be looking for as far as quieter tires? I don't even know if bigger is better or smaller is better. I'm not exactly a performance driver (mostly just freeway driving around 70 mph, and in-town driving), but I'd like a nice combination of decent handling and quiet/smooth ride. Thanks.

They are a little pricy, but the Yokohama Advan S4 would seem to be a good fit. Quiet and good riding, but still with good handling. For less money the new Goodyear F1 All Season are also pretty good.
