Fujita or K&N Typhoon Intake
I'm deciding on which intake to purchase. Is there any discernible difference between either one in terms of noise, increase in power, etc.? The Fujita Short Ram Intake seems to be a little cheaper, but if the Typoon offers more power, I'll go for that. K&N's site states that it will add an additional 18 extra HP at the wheels but that sounds really exaggerated.

i took the fujita, and i LOVE it, great quality, truely awesome sound. the car feels more responsive, can't say if fuel economy is better coz it feels and sounds so good that i've been driving it like i stole it.........

Thanks for the response. Actually, it was your thread that made me begin to consider which intake to get. Better mileage is of course a nice bonus, but I'm really looking to see which one provides more power. Have you measured any horsepower increase from your Fujita?

stock exhaust
im getting a brand new 450h by next month, and im wondering whether to change its exhaust. does the exhaust sound way better than the stock?
if i only get the exhaust but not the intake, what are the consequences?

sk31: I got a 450h and I'm looking for an intake too, there are no intake specifically designed for the 450h, I tried the K&N 69-8702TP for the GS350 it does fit nicely expect for the mass air sensor, I also tried the Fujita SR-2402 for the GS300 that time the mass air sensor fits but the tube is too short ! So right I was not able to find a cold air intake that fits the 450h... Is you do find one please let me know...

I had a K&N drop in filter.Tried it for a few months felt the difference right off the line. Then I found the ijen intake. You feel the difference on the top end.I had to make a heat shield & did the air dryer hose to the intake. Those make a noticeable gain.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29.../intake015.jpg It's done in mod section for more info.
