22s on GS AWD vs GS RWD

Is there any difference between the the two of them when it comes to 22s, if you check out cardomain.com lots of people have 22 on their AWD GSs with no complaints. Would there be any major effects on the AWD system with the 22s, lets assume that the rim set wont be staggered...

or even 20s for that matter, there are some who have 22 with no modification or trouble on their AWDs...anythoughts?
