i hate to say, but people i know don't really race from redlights anymore, and not sure where you get that idea of more people racing from redlights. couple people i know who race, they go on the freeways at late night and pull it hard out there. and a lot of high end cars they go for freeway runs

and what i can tell is just my feeling as well, real numbers could be different. i am saying gs350 works harder to get the same speed, doesn't mean it gets there slower. most people who have owned v8 will understand that

and by all means, pass me at 130mph. i will even let you pass me at 120mph. you are taking it out of context

(and by no means am i degrading the gs350, i am owning the car. it's good for what it is and that's the key)
Kinda funny.......you guys are debating a point whee you both are right.
All thr Lexus cars are close on 0-60.
on the freeway, v8's rule....but the v6's are no slouch.
Does that sum it up?

theoretically if u didnt let me pass u i still would pass u. it would be only a matter of time b4 i catch u and pass u. lol ok just playn with rominl. although i do think the GS is a fast car for a luxury car. im not a fool i know the LS is faster then the GS. next august im getn an LS. i dont have a LS so i was trying to defend my GS. didnt ya mom teach u to take pride in what u have. lol so next year when i get my LS i will be defending my LS. lol

LOL

Yes, The GS350 with stock intake is a bit slow to get to 120mph but when I put my K&N Typhoon Intake it was a breeze the 0-60 was slower but top end, wow, I accel it and reach 120mph with ease and 145mph with no struggle, so if you want to go on the highway with my gs350 no problem but yes v8s do you have more power than a v6 simple fact but the gs350 is a fast car.

The GS350 cuts out at 145mph, but if you compare the GS350 with other v6's very powerful and faster than most.

buy a K&N big diff at higher speeds, trust me!!!

Today I just put back the stock intake and it did strugle from 80-100mph but with the K&N in it was breeze all the way to 140mph.

Stock GS350 without intake slow with K&N, big diff!!! (Try It)

WITH THE K&N Your GAS MILAGE WILL SUFFER!!!

i can see how intake help, and together with a lot of other engine mods.

however no way i am putting intake on the car. i am sooo past the stage of loud cars. had my share and it's time for some quietness. like i said, if i want fast, the gs350 wouldn't even be on the radar
