That's incorrect. The Lexus Japan website officially states it as the 1UR-FSE. We all know it's the 1UR-FSE. It would be absolutely silly for Lexus to sell the 1UR-FE anywhere outside of the Middle East.

I hope that the debate as to whether or not the GS460 has direct injection is finally settled.
The only thing we (as GS fans) are waiting for are dyno results for a GS460 to see whether the numbers have been underrated.
Just to be clear, the GS460 engine is exactly the same mechanically as the LS460's 1UR-FSE.

How much more proof do people want? Perhaps an official press release from Lexus just to clarify the engine code?

lol, too bad lexus doesn't state the engine code on the engine cover anymore. they used to do it on the older models
btw, on the US site, where does it state it has direct injection? actually i tried to look around but couldn't find anything. i do agree on compression ratio, it's higher than that of the one without DI

It states the 342HP engine has both direct and port injection.
It would be nice for Lexus USA to state on their website the engine code under specifications.
