That's incorrect. The Lexus Japan website officially states it as the 1UR-FSE. We all know it's the 1UR-FSE. It would be absolutely silly for Lexus to sell the 1UR-FE anywhere outside of the Middle East.

I hope that the debate as to whether or not the GS460 has direct injection is finally settled.
The only thing we (as GS fans) are waiting for are dyno results for a GS460 to see whether the numbers have been underrated.
Just to be clear, the GS460 engine is exactly the same mechanically as the LS460's 1UR-FSE.

It would make sense to have the flagship model with the most HP but it doesn't really make sense why the HP figures are not very far off from the GS350.

Exactly. I'm mean look at 2007, how embarassing, 290 hp GS430 or a 303 hp GS350.
I'm usually one to defend Lexus but lets face it, who in their right mind wants to pay a 10k premium for 2 more cylinders and 13 less horsepower?
