A staggered setup isn't just for looks, it's for functionality. On a RWD, you get tires with a larger footprint outback for traction, that's the only reason for staggered setups.

Another option that you can do with custom wheels is run the same width front and rear but a larger rear lip. Thus the same wheel width and tire size but a larger rear lip, giving the same aggressive appearance as staggered.

You can still rotate, you just have to dismount to do it.

Just sharing another option.

The GS really needs bigger wheels and lowering by an inch or more. It seems the more conservative approach is to go non-staggered with 19" or 20" wheels and lowering with tanabe springs. Opinions?
Too early to tell about the bridgestones, only had them for about 1K miles. So far I like them as a lower cost tire that is relatively quiet but it doesn't provide the confidence to power drive like a michelin does. Same for the invo, decent tire but that's all I can say about it. Good for the price.

No, I'm not sure staggered would cause a problem. What I said before was some stuff I read that was logical but was theory. I've never heard of any issues associated with staggered.

the other good thing i liked about the RE960's is they actually have a 40K mileage warranty. what other tire has that for these set ups we are doing with low profile. that sold me there considering how bad my yok's were after 24K

staggered means the wheels in the back are wider than the ones in the front

Just saw your sn, I know we've gone back and forth on AIM a few times. You didn't ask me about the staggered thing there, but here is a pic of a AWD GS that I did with the same width wheels fr/rr but larger rr lip

Not the best pic but here goes, these are 19x9 fr/rr iFORGED VIP FABULOUS in silver with chrome lip. Front lip is 1.5 rear is 3.0

Pic of the wheels without rubber (very easy to see the different lip sizes)

Those wheels remind me of M3 wheels in a way.

mesca, flipside is ryan

btw, Heng350 means wider rear wheels than the front. this is good for rwd mostly on handling (more traction in the back). for wheels with lip, this also allows you to have more lip in the back. of course down side is no more rotation and tires / wheels are usually more expensive overall

D2-AUTOSPORT,

I like your ideaof using thesame withand playing withthe offsets, very nice.

As forgoing with differnt Width rims, Doesn't that mess with the AWD system? that is what I have been told all along.

I always talked my customers out of doing it so they don't have any warranty issues.
