btw, i was just thinking, and i guess this explains why the brakes on the gs350 is not as good as our ls460l. after driving the car both me and my wife had the same feeling that the brakes are not as sensitive as the ls460l. maybe i should test drive the 450h or the gs460 and see the difference

GS350 brakes are no slouch that's for sure. They have very positive stopping power like my IS300, even with the updated pads.

In contrast, the GS430/450h's brakes are pretty touchy because of the brake by wire sytem.

it definitely has to do with what you are used to. believe me, here i read people saying the gs350 brakes are not sensitive enough (me included in the guilty party), but over in the other forums, some people complain saying that their brakes are way too touchy. it's never easy for lexus i guess

Yeah, i've driven pretty much every Lexus model in the line up including the IS-F extensively. Lexus puts great brakes on their cars. The best brakes coming from factory Lexus would have to go to the IS-F currently (factory Brembo) for obvious reasons.

Yeah, basically same physical hardware (calipers, rotors, pads), but everything else is a lot different.
