Default Haunting words from the past... and a NEW GS350

Hi all... you may remember me from last July when I was debating purchasing a Loaded Toyota Solara, or a stripped GS300 06.

Link to Original Post-- with the haunting words of... maybe I'll pick up a 350 in a couple of years.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=227422

Well long story short, I got the Solara... but was still in love with the GS. The 350 satisfied most of the issues that held me back from the 06... most notibly the 3.5 liter 303 and the Gen 5 NAvigation. I just could not justify buying something with older technology at a 20k premium.

Last month I stopped by the dealer to see if they had any leftover... and then there it was, my dream car. A 2007 new GS350 Glacier Frost Mica (Mark Lev, NAV, Park Assist, LOADED) Sitting on the lot... calling my name I fell in love. Sticker was 52 and change... and negotiated down to 46 and change. Took a loss on my solara... but that was to be expected.

This GS has blown me away in every possible way... and now I am moving on from Solaraguy.org to club lex. Everyone here has been wonderful... and I look forward to sharing many exciting miles.

Below is the 07 Solara (nick name Gavin) to the 350 nick name (Jonas)

Love it guys... and THANKS. Patience paid off... and I got a great price on a leftover.

Gavin

Jonas

congrats on the car! it's always good to get the car you truly like. price is high for 07 leftover, but i am sure you enjoy it a lot more than the solara

Hmmm... You got the "loaded" one but why did it come with 17" wheels? My base still had the 18" wheels. Actually, I went to a few Lexus dealership and none had any 17" wheels on them.

Congrats on your purchase. This is coming from a previous Solara owner as well! (Gen 1 Solara SE V6 5 Speed Manual).

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!!!

Actually in terms of "loaded" I did not get the PCS or radar cruise... and unfortunetly all of the 350 AWD's here have the 17 inch rims.

This shall be the last car purchase for some time though... my history is ridiculous! I don't even want to think of how much money I have wasted!

91 Toyota Camry (17 yo)
99 Toyota Solara SLE (19 yo)
01 Toyota Solara SLE(21 yo)
03 Toyota Corolla Sport (23 yo) - TRYING to be a responsible adult
04 Toyota Solara SLE (24 yo)
03 Chrsler PT Cruiser(25 yo) YUK! - (Company Provided, FOXTONS)
05 Mini Cooper/Nav (25 yo) Fun to drive (Company Provided, FOXTONS)
07 Toyota Solara SLE (27 yo) AWesome car, but the GS wins!
07 Lexus GS AWD/Nav Lev - Nothing else to say but this is IT.
