Yes, the trade-off is worth it. The bigger wheels really make this car stand out. I am getting used to the ride and noise over time. The ride is not bad on a smooth road but the stock 18" wheels and tires are better in terms of road noise and harshness.
I would not want anything bigger than 20" wheels on this car. I may be imagining this but the 245/35/20 in the front seem less harsh and noisy than the 275/30/20 in the rear. Fortunately, I sit in the front and view this car as a sports sedan not a pure luxury one. Pictures coming soon after the window tint. I appreciate all the help on this site.
One more thing: the wheel gap is less noticeable with my MRR HR2 20" wheels and I am quite pleased. I see no need for a drop and everyone loves the wheels. A very cost-effective upgrade that transforms this car.
The MRR H2's look like "stock" Lexus OEM wheels so the car still retains an upgraded factory look. If I was a Lexus salesperson these wheels would be at my dealership and on a lot of white or silver GS cars in a staggered set-up.
I am selling my brand new OEM 18" 5 spoke wheels with Yoko tires (see classified section on club lexus). They are BRAND NEW with 100miles on them in perfect condition. ( I may keep the wheel locks though).

i havn't done too much research on wheels yet but would you be able to drop the car (tanabe nf 210s) on 20s if they were not staggered with no problem at all(No rubbing, no modding wheel well or anything else)? It seems from the few Threads i have read that staggered usually commits to most problems???

Great thread!
I have been going through these same thoughts in my head since I got my 08 GS.
Cant wait to see pictures.
Have you thought about the Tein H Tech (I think)? They have a slight less drop than the NF210s. Might be even less likely to rub.
