Ryan, when are you trading in your 07 for a 08 white/black? I saw a few of them at Longo

This was very awesome and time consuming, interesting to see the evolution, and look at this from an 04 thread on the 06 gs

what the heck is that below (behind) the shifter anyways ?? well never know

woah...

this looks like the navigation control! maybe lexus was experimenting with the iDrive-like control right behind the shifter??? It looks like a zoom in and an Enter button. Can't tell the third one.

Maybe someone could create a list of the detailed differences between the '07 and '08 -- the stuff that isn't in the specs. I care because it makes me appeciate my car more. Since I have never had an '07, I can't make the comparison but have picked up a few items, such as:

- Caution screen when starting the nav system. No more "agree" screen.
- Turn signals on outside mirrors
- Brushed aluminum shifter surround
- Slot for owners manual in glove box

I don't know but are the following things new?

- LED lights - interior and tail lights
- 8-speed transmission in GS460
- AUX input for MP3 player
- Super-soft leather seat material
- Ventilated seats
- "Intelligent" interior lighting that moves with entering driver
- Parking assist system (GREAT feature, use it parking in my small garage)
- Driver AND passenger memory seats
- Power rear sun screen
- "Rolling" headlights
- Active suspension system (Sport/Normal)
- Rain-detecting wipers
- Water-repellant front door glass

Actually that one that says "Theft Deterrent Design" is a pre-production concept model. As you can see, the dash looks similar but alot different than the actual production model.

Here's what the production models have:

Mark Levinson Head Unit - Notice the revised DTS Digital Surround Icon and the removal of "MP3" & "WMA" on the 08 version. Font style difference is pretty obvious in these pics.

In deed!

j/k the weight difference isn't so much. its like a fat guy racing a skinny guy. fat guy in the 07 and skinny guy in the 08.
