Default Rattles in a GS dashboard

Back to your original problem of rattles in the car, I wanted to make everyone aware that Lexus announced a Technical Service Bulletin suggesting additional insulation in the dash on the 07 GS 350, and I presume the v8 version too. I just had mine completed, and it makes a big difference- all is well. Sorry to hear about your dealer crash mishap...

yes...this TSB is apparently brand new and does apply to the GS430. Just tell your stealer to have their tech try NOT TO CRACK your windshield with the tool when they are installing these new clips and insulation. They cracked mine today. Not good news. Some of these guys should be setting pins in a bowling alley rather than be toying with sophisticated machines like these GS's.

GS9395,

>>>>Here is an interesting thought...

>>>>Bring back one of those Lexus loaner cars with this kind of damage, and >>>>see how they react.

That is funny. The loaner car is a white 07 GS350, anyone needs color matching body parts?

Yes, the car will never be the same. At one point, I was seriously thinking about trading it in. But with depreciation, I think I will lose around $7,000 for the nine months that I owned the car. Kelly blue book shows $40,975 on trade in value. BTW, mine is a Silver GS350 AWD Navi and Levinson, MSRP $52,000, paid $48,000.

If the accident is not going to show up on Carfax, that will definitely help in trade in value down the road, may be three years from now when it is paid off.

Hi,
Here what I would do: Not to repare, but replace 2 doors fenders and 4 wheels+alignment. Because no way they can do the same finish as factory. Plus of course - no reports. Make sure that there is no other damage caused by the impact.
