I just got my 2008 GS350. Now, I vaguely remember but cannot find some rule about where one can put the FOB when you take it out of your pocket at night. I would like to put it with my bildfold and cell phone. In addition, sometimes I'd like to put it with my billfold and cell phone while my phone is the charger.

Is this all okay or is there something I need to worry about?

What do others do?

Also, is it okay to have my phone and FOB in the same pocket in my pants while driving?

As far as having the smart key card and the phone in your pocket, you shouldn't have an issue.

I am talking about the standard thing (I thought it was called a FOB then again I guess I don't really what it's called) that comes with the GS so that if you have it on you, you can open and start the car. I am definitely not talking about anything that with an LS.

You mean the standard "Smart Key" fob. Yes i sometimes have my Blackberry in the same pocket as my smart key and have no issues with the key reception.

After I get home, everything (watch, BB, and fob) goes into a jewelry box with no problems for 3 months so far.

Same here...I don't think twice about it... Hell I've gotten so spoiled I'm tired of having to carry the fob around! Is there a mod for "voice", "retina", "Facial" or "airborne DNA" recognition to start the car?

Same here - my FOB has been in my purse since I got the car (well, I took it out once to change the cover to a red one so I could FIND it in my purse when necessary , and everything else goes in there, too - phone, Blackberry, everything (it's a BIG purse!). No problems for 2 months.
