Wondering if there is an update for my Nav on my '06 GS. Have had the car since Feb of '05! and dealer continues to tell me there are no new updates. I live in a suburb of Cincinnati and there are many roads, including my street and neighborhood(which are 3+ yrs. old!) that aren't on the map. I have driven '07 loaners from the dealer and they seem to have the same "database" for my area
Thanks
Thanks

The nav updates are a yearly issue. They will constantly be updated but as the local roads change and new points of interest are added. Chances are, as soon as you receive a nav map update, your current version is already outdated.

What version of Nav data do you have? You've had your car long enough that the newest version would probably make a difference but that can be hit or miss. My car (06) came with v5. I also live in a region where there has been a fair amount of new streest and POI development over the last 3 years. I bought v6 nav expecting most of that to be there and there were some big misses even for things that were built a couple of years prior. v7 did have the changes i expected.
If you haven't already, read some of the other older threads on the forum re navs. do a search for nav override and nav hack. If you are using the hidden service menu to allow address input while in motion, you'll lose that if you upgrade unless you follow one of the homemade options described.
PM me if you need more specifics. Have done a lot of trial and error.
