any idea how to yellow the fogs. I know alot of you are into the HID look like the headlights but want the old yellow look like my prev. 2gs 430. Any lens covers or what's out there??
Thanks..areotech sounds easy..no worries about burning out bulbs and harnesses..BUT does the film really stay on and does it produce a deeper yellow than what's on my 3gs..does it look like perhaps nokya 2500k's?? or very close??
I'm not a fan of the film. HID fogs scatter the light everywhere. The best way is either yellow bulbs, or retrofit yellow capsules into your fogs to mimic the 2GS fogs. If you search "yellow capsules" on ebay I think there's a guy who sells them. Basically they're yellow glass covers that go over the factory bulbs to make that deep yellow color.

Yes and yes. If you really want it yellow, use the film and the Nokya bulbs. You will get that deep yellow color you had with the 2GS.
The film is more than just for color, it protects your fog lamp lens from getting pitted and damaged.
I've been using Aerotect for several years now since my IS300. When I did the full Carson Tuned front bumper replacement on that car, I lost the use of my beloved yellow projector OEM foglamps. In order to compensate, I went with the yellow lamp overlay and was pretty pleased with the results. On top of the looks, it help save my expensive glass lens foglamps from getting damaged.
film and bulbs..o.k, the Nokya 2500k fogs 9006 (3gs) do they burn the harness or have a short life??I'm hearing yes to both from others but figure you all know best..any recmmendations as where I can get the bulbs..partstores or ebay??Thanks again
i would say use two layers or yellow film. i don't know if aerotect has deeper yellow films now, but the one we had on our sc430 was not deep enough (not close to our gs400 or is300)
Honestly no aftermarket bulb out can match the yellow of the OEM 2GS and I1S. Fact of the matter is, there is yellow lens inside the foglamp which gives out that color.
