One of two things:
1) You constantly touch the button
2) Your finger tips are rough or the things you touch around work are chemicals or oily substances?

lol. I'm not doubting its my nail. But I keep it trimmed. Hmm, then again, nothing else in the car is rubbing off. Seriously though. I think this defect. How else do people with long nails like a woman would push the button?

Tried that. My nail would still hit the button. And its not long. Mind you my nail isn't flush to my skin like some people, but again, if you measure the part not stuck to the finger, its only like 3mm at most. If I was a female with "normal" long nails, you would still hit it. I still say either it wasn't applied (the sticker) correctly, or its a defect. Or every woman with longer nails than mine would scratch off that button.
I'm just asking for your opinion on if Lexus should replace the button? Its under a year old. I emailed my salesperson to tell him about the issue and that when I come in for my next oilchange I would like it replaced at the same time. Since I have to make my appointments like 2 months ahead to get a loaner, I figure they can order the part ahead of time. He didn't reply back, but I did send him a shot of it so they can't can't say it wore out because of normal wear and tear.

Is that the same finger you're using to pick your nose? ha ha, j/k. Ask for Dennis (he's the head guru there) and get his thoughts. If not, ask for David, the Service Asst Mgr.
I know if there's too much oil transfer, the wearing of these stickers is accelerated, but within a year is not normal. Keep us posted.
