real reason to they moved the fuel button
The real reason they moved it is because you press the button tray button so much, it wears down the word push and if you ask to have it replaced because youre car is under a year old and had the word "push" rubbed off, they would have to replace the whole button and they dont want to do that.
I'm kidding. but my button is worn off(the words that is), thats crappy on a new car.

lol. seriously. I'll take a picture. My guess is when I poke my finger at the button my nail is probably scraping it. not that I have long nails or anything. This is the reason why they shouldn't use these "rub on" type stickers.

They aren't rub on and mine is fine after 23k miles and a little over 13 months. Maybe it's that Hawaiian climate.

I barely touch mine, too much of a hassle to drop the box and push the button. lol
Plus I alway get out of my car and go to the trunk and just hold the button to open it from there. I rarely even look at my keys anymore.

Lol. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I was told they wouldnt without hassles because its a sticker and can rub off over time so its a "wear and tear" item. I've been too busy to make an appointment for two months from now so I can get a loaner for when they tell me my car is gonna take a day or two. I'm being sarcastic. Because of how long they had my car last time for what should've been one day.

That's a pretty lame excuse for them not to change it. It's not supposed to wear off that fast.
For example, when I had my 2004 IS300. It was the first year they added memory seating for the driver. The #1 setting text finally rubbed off just after 3 months of having the car. In typical Lexus fashion, they replaced the whole memory button switch and it looked good as new all over again.

Sorry it took a while. Christmas and all that. Here are some pics. Notice the inside buttons all look fine, then agai, I dont think those are "rub-on stickers.
