AWD 2006 GS300 - Leather Torn
#2
I would take it back to the dealership. Hopefully they will fix/replace it under your 4 years 50k bumper to bumper warranty. Something similar happened to my 02 GS300 in the past and dealership fixed it for freee.

well if they don't fix it, b/c they have no way of knowing if you caused this tear from something you did, and not just the normal wear and tear of the car, you can always fix it yourself.
THey have kits, but unless you are savy to how to do those things, jsut take it to the dealership.
For a tear about that size, they will probably charge you 300 and it will look brand new after they fix it.
"unless you can get it done for free"
thats the best.
good luck

Dealership will fix it for free as a goodwill gesture. Also depends how nice your service advisor is. When i took my car in, my service advisor did not ask me a single question and gave me a loaner car for 4 days.

Maybe for you, but I don't think most service advisers would do that. Consider yourself lucky.
Tell your adviser it looks like a crack in the leather, don't say tear. Make it seem like its not your fault even if it wasn't. If they won't fix it then go find a pro who does it for a living. I had a friend who worked from dealership to dealership fixing leather and he did a great job. Whenever they needed him, they gave him a call so this leads me to think that the dealer has to put out money to call in a pro to fix the leather. Not to mention, "dentless paint removing" as well.
