Steering wheel scratches

Wood steering wheels are not my cup of tea. I would wrap the whole thing in leather.

reggie, are those bad scratches? you can feel them with your nails? long? or they are more like little "dings". if they are dings, it's probably hard, if it's scratches, you can try to use some polish (car polish can do too) to take them out?

I have one or two dents on the wood part of the wheel. It's almost hard to avoid coming in and out of the car.

none of the wood on my cars have had problems over the years. it's about maintenance. on the other side i have seen leather steering wheel crack like hell after just 3 years of ownership....

Oh well. What type of polish are you guys talking about that could hide the marks?

here was my solution to both a thicker sterring wheel and a nicer leather feel, not to mention when I get rid of this car, I will have zero percent fade and no scratches.
Plus my hands love the leather and wider feel.
I hate wood.

eh... I believe if you paid for something, you might as well use it. By covering it up... well that sucks. Things are made to use and they do wear down overtime, but thats when you get a new one or replace it.
