Keep at that level or close to it and soon you'll have a significant enough and permanent hearing loss so that you'll never be able hear any distortion ever again on any system.

Default UR right not a huge difference

When I was looking at the GS' I was looking at 2 side by side with the only difference being one had the ML system (and chrome rims) and the other did not. I literally jumped between cars back & forth to see if there was really that big a difference - to be perfectly honest there was not. I am sure there are subtle differences and the source (cd / dvd) has to be taken into consideration but like the OP said I just could say the ML system was 5x, 10x etc better. If it had been I would not have a problem coughing up the extra $$$ to upgrade to the ML but it just wasn't there.

just the option to watch dvds was enough for me. hey i noticed that if u are listening to a cd if u turn of the sound and keep on th ASL, the system sounds great. all my friends think i have a system in my car and can not believe it is stock. besides it helps when u resell your car.

I think the ML system is a lot more crisp than the standard audio in the GS.

Anyone make any affordable mods ($500 or less) to the ML system to give it more of a punch? Bigger sub w/separate amp? Etc...
I just test drove a GS 350 and i agree w/some, my expectations were higher. I know there are stereo gurus out there... is it worth it to put a little dough into the ML system? Or no, not worth the bang for the buck...

imho might as well save the money and put those into upgrading stock audio as well. unless you want those extra features like dvd playback and other stuff badly (that only comes with the ML)

Not a lot of AWDs come with ML... I wanted it for the video playing capability but other than that, I couldn't tell a difference from comparisons either.

Interesting, since the AWD model is scarce here in the West Coast, the ones we get here are always packaged with ML/NAV and Park Assist.
