Some references in here. look for the post from timeToy. several of us spent a lot of time on this last year. nobody with a gen4 system was able to get a 5/7 hybrid to work. 5 and 6 yes. several people with gen5 systems did get the 5/7 to work they say.

I have successfully made my 5.1 + 6.1 a year ago (I also wrote a thread about it) and still enjoying it.

anyone get an gen 5 navi override with 5.1/7.1 combo to work? the screen hack upper left bottom left doesn't work.....
depends on what generation of nav hardware you have i think. several of us with older gen4s tried to reverse engineer a 5/7 hybrid and couldn't get it to work. people with new gen 5 hardware say they were successful.
