Default Rear window fogging up inside for no reason...

This is weird, ever since I got the car, I've had to pretty much use the rear defroster everytime. The inside of the window has a lot of condensation from the cold weather. Usually it'd be 55 degrees or so at the most, when it does it. I'd come to my car after work and it's be fogged up inside. I could see it from the outside of the glass. Now that I have tint, it's still does it. Any idea what's up? I don't think there's any leaking gaskets as it rained and I didn't notice any water inside (though I didnt really check, but my tint guy didn't see anything or else he would've said something).

Any of you have the same situation?

Well you have to factor in your body temperature and how cold it is inside the cabin as well as humidity. Do you leave HVAC controls on recirc or fresh ? Probably best to leave it at fresh to keep the stagnant air out.

yeah, but the way I view it...the GS is a well insulated vehicle....
as flipside said, condensation = cabin temp vs. outside temp
(there must be a discrepancy in temps)

you probably live somewhere where the humidity is high as well, don't you?
that would make this happen easier and more often as well.
Bring your car to CO and I bet your current problem would go away.

I live in Cali. All of my cars never did that. I can see the condensation before I even step inside the car, so it's not me...

Don't know then man.
I gave the best guesses I had.
Take it in to your dealer and have them check to see if it's normal, and if it's not have them correct.
Good luck.

Must agree..I hardly ever remember using defrost on my 2nd gen GS...

I am always using it on this car...

Why, I have no clue but I am constantly turning the defrost off and on...

Im in Southern CA so weather should not be an issue...

There is moisture somewhere on or near your rear window deck that is being evaporated by the sun and then condensing on the cool window. Have you felt around for the moisture? Is there a leak around the window? Is it coming up from the trunk? How about the back seats? Something spilled? There simply shouldn't be that much moisture in the car.

Well it happens only when it's cold out. It's just weird that it doesn't happen to any other cars but mine... I'll have the dealer check it out..
