I've seen the color in person as well. Really nice color, but its sort of out of range type of color for lexus. Would make a nice show car!

You can find this color on the Lexus web site under the Build Your Own pick. I think it's available on both the ES and GS. The color might not be too real world looking though, but would give an idea of the look.

I see what you mean. I just looked at the ES and GS color choices on the Lexus web site, and they do have that artificial shiny/wet look to them. I wonder if that's new with the '08 brochures. I don't recall them looking that way when shopping for the '07.

^ agree. I have seen one 3GS with this color a few days ago. It was in the evening, and car looked terrible. Maybe in a certain light/angle it shines, but it didn't look good at all. It felt like some of the details disappeared with that color And, yeah – it screams out “over-the-hill”. Just my humble opinion

Agree 100%, & I would say it's the WORST gold paint I have seen on any car of any brand, it looks so dull & bland compared to other gold paints on other cars I've seen.

The LS (65%), GS (40%) and ES (54%) all have a high % of owners age 56+, so there probably is a market for the color in all three models.

The color is the color shown on some of the cars in informational DVDs you get when you buy an ES350. I think on the videos on the Lexus website too. Yes, it screams "I'm over 50" but that is the typical buyer.

Seems to be a rare color in person tho. Least in CA. Color mix on the dealers I've visited seems to be 30% Smoky Granite Mica (grey), 30% Starfire Pearl (white), 20% silver, and 20% of everything else.

40% of GS owners are over 56 years old!!??

I hope not...given the number of pics on this forum w/20" rims, dropped rides, etc, I hope the other 60% are in their 20's and 30's!

Forums like this are probably visited more by the younger crowd, hence the number of cars with various mods.

From JD Power. The ES and GS were for '08 to date and the LS was '07 (nothing listed for '08 yet). I think the #'s for '07 were GS 33% and ES 50%.
