Oh boy, bro I don't know what to say....this is a luxury car and the wood steering wheel is a must. Just get use to it, most people want a wood steerig wheel but it is costly.

I agree I hate wood wheels!!!!!
I would actually pay more to NOT have wood, than to get the wood.
I would much rather a stock MUCH thicker and all leather with some nice tri or double color stitching.
The wood is junk in my mind, but I think I am alone on this. Everyone I talk to likes the wood. Oh well.
Get what you love, adn don't worry about what others think.
I have seen plenty of $80K plus cars that have crap wood wheels.

Lexus GS3, I just bought a new GS in Massachusetts. Over here, all non nav GS350 gets tha all leather steering wheel and the Nav option get the wood wheel. I bought the nav option just for the wood wheel, thats how much I like it. The all leather wheel somehow feels cheap to me. Anyways, the all leather steering wheel is a US part. Try Sewell, I bet they can find the part number.

You will not get any arguments from me on that overall assesment.

But I've grown to like the wood on the wheel, so long as it's not too warm and not too cold out. Actually, it is in the warm weather, when the wood makes hands sweat and there is no leather to naturally aborb it that I like the wood the least.

All for the wood steering wheel. The all leather looks cheap, non-Lexus luxury $700+ for a replacement steering wheel??? A good pair of leather driving gloves $50, maybe $75 bucks.

High end Mercedes and BWMs generally have leather steering wheels.

You can get the wood steering wheel on the S-Class but it's an option IIRC.

coz' almost everything on bmw and bmw are options? i guess wood wheels are always more expensive than leather wheel, thus the "perception" of wood wheel being more luxury

You can get wood steering wheels as options on S-class, E-class, SL-class & CL-class. But I think wood steering wheels come standard on the SL600, CL600 & S600.
Also, all the S65's I've seen so far have wood steering wheels in them ...
