I'm really getting very annoyed of the wood steering wheel. The wood makes it hard to manoeuver the steering wheel, and is cold as hell at night. Do you guys know where i can buy one without the wood preferably all black to match my interior. I'll even trade do even trade. PM me

lol, tommy, it's that bad? i think i am used to the wood steering wheel already. so you are saying the wood is too slippery or grippy? maybe a leather cover as a quick fix?

Is too slippery, I always have to grab my steering extra tighter. I thought about after market cover but it loooks too tacky and fuglee. One of the reasons i miss my 2GS. i love the all leather steering wheel on my previous GS300.

I'm wondering if lexus sell the steering wheel wrap of not.. Maybe i can get one for the 2GS and wrap it on my 3GS. I'll have to make some calls.

they sure have that from Japan, perhaps, find someone who is willing to ship one here. I don't' think swapping the steering wheel is that hard at all, just depends on how much you are willing to pay for the all leather

that's exactly what i want.. Thanks for the pic. Now i gotta get that steering wheel. Personally looks more sporty to me. Too much wood action goin on in our cars.

DAMMIT i just checked Lexus.com website. Even the base model GS comes with wood steeering wheel.

Non-wood steering wheel is available for the 3GS V6 model in Canada, maybe you can try to look for a Canadian owner to trade with you ?

Thanks for the info. I have relatives that lives in vancouver and toronto.. I'll ask them to help me find one. Maybe i can get one at a junk yards.

I'll always have LOVE for the 2GS hands down. One of the BEST car i ever owned in my life. I'm still getting use to my 3GS.

swapping the steering wheel is easy, last time took me 5 mins to take out airbad and then another 5 max to pull out the wheel

Just remember you can only use 08 and newer steering wheels since the steering wheel/airbag is different from the 06-07 models.
