This dash noise issue seems pretty common, so they should give you no drama to repair the issue

Got my GS350 AWD back today after both complaints.

The dealer did the service bulletin on the brake pads. The brakes were squealing when I left the dealer after this but weren't when I got home about 30 mins later. Per the service description this took .7 hours of labor.

As for the dash creak, they did not do the service bulletin but, per the service description, applied felt tape to the center vent cowling. The paperwork said this took 1.3 hours of labor.

The good news is the "styrofoam on styrofoam" creak is gone. There are still a few minor noises but at this point it's much better.

So they had the car for 2 days and spent 2 hours of labor. And I'm much happier at the moment.

I went in this afternoon and had the car back to me in about 2 hours. Bored out of my mind sitting in the waiting room. They replaced the break pads and I didnt notice any difference in terms of performance. For the dash rattle, they said they put some foam in there. When I left I could still hear the rattles, so I guess that idea didnt work.

Bozer,
Frankly I expected them to do the "click and rattle" service bulletin to my car but they didn't. Perhaps it's not with the VIN range.

Any idea what they do when they put "foam" in?

My receipt said felt taped the cowling and the nasty creak was gone. There are still a few rattles near the windshield but it's better. Figured I'd give it a little time and see what happens.
