Default 3GS AWD vs RWD.

I was looking for the 450h, or 460. but now I am more leaning toward the GS350. I know the gs350 is almost ask fast as the 450h and 460.
I know they are come with AWD and RWD. my question is which one is more fun to drive? why?
thanks for your advices.

Of course RWD on drive pavement is much more fun to drive than AWD. It's lighter and slightly faster (0-60 in 5.7 vs 5.8) and traditionally RWD offers slighter sharper steering feel compare to AWD. But I've never driven a RWD so I can't offer to side by side comparison.

But if you are living in a city where you see a lot of rain, AWD makes much more sense. States like in washington, you have to special order a RWD 350 and 460 and 450h are hard to come by. It's all AWDs. And if you see alot of snow than it's no brainer.

All depend on how hard you drive:

Normal = RWD

Hardcore = AWD

Personally I would get the AWD if you can actually get one in TX, just to be safe.

Initially I special ordered AWD and waited 4 months, ended with RWD...

On some setup, AWD can actually improve handling. I am not sure about the GS.

Not sure how the RWD is but I've found the AWD understeers a bit much for my tastes, as have other AWD cars I've driven.

I didn't really have a choice since it's my daily driver in PA and that's pretty much all they ship into this area.

If you don't have snow to contend with, I'd go RWD. Despite opinions to the contrary, RWD in general is actually a better car to drive aggressively and is more tossable.

The 450h is definitely much faster than a 350 (0-60 in 5.2s vs 5.7s or 5.8s for the 350) and the electric motor is a fantastic help to pass at speed on the highway...

off the line acceleration might be quite close, v8/hybrid will shine on the freeway while v6 struggles to keep up
