It definitely starts up pretty well. I've only gotten stuck once on a hill; however, I blame it on the summer tires and the unplowed street with 5" of snow.

yes, basically what it does

14" Total. I didn't take it out today, I was too busy snow blowing 3 times and still didn't get it all. A 4th time snow blowing this evening. I'll be driving tomorrow morning, I'm sure the roads will still have snow all over them. 350 plows in Milwaukee and you'd think we could clear it all. However, this was a big storm. Still fun to drive in.

Plenty of snow on the roads this morning. No issue with the GS. I did drive in snow mode and tested the gas pedal. It had a little delay, but when pressed to the floor it did down shift and break the tires loose at 30 and 40 mph (rather quick for 3in of snow still on the roads). From a dead stop, it starts out slower, but if you stomp on the pedal it will spin the tires, I think it's the AWD that starts to correct the spinning with the other tires and it will grab and go.

Sorry no pics of the snow, but it's been fun. Again, the GS is a champ, but some of the drifting and the plow piles creates low to no ground clearance.

Good review beercity, glad to know the GS perform like a champ. I too waorry about the low ground clearance. I took a quick look underneath the GS and looks everything is pretty well placed. Did anyone here ever experience any damage under the GS due to the low ground clearance?
