Clearly Jag and Range Rover suck in term of reliability and the Ford (or Tata) reliability image do not help. If I was on the market of for a car now I will definitely pass on the Jag, specially a first model year ! That said it is a gorgeous car, I like how they take GS clues and take them to the level, with a more aggressive hood, back end, large wheels and all.

I really like the styling of the new jag, but I agree with most everyone else, the Jag history is rocky and Tata makes it even more so. In another few years, we will see what the XF is made of. Real world reviews, plus maybe the addition of that 5.0 engine that seems to be brewing for both the high end Jags and the Range Rover lines, then in another 2-3 years, it can be a player.

I am always weary of the first few test years of a new car. Which is why I couldn't even commit to the Lexus until this year.
