This seems to be true for a lot of companies. They 'run their course' - I think Hyundai is chasing them now. I saw the Super bowl ad for the Genesis - it looks like it could be a Lexus Killer. My 1999 GS300 was the epitome of Cars as far as I was concerned. They have taken a step backward with the 2007 GS350 - Still a helluva car, but not as good as the 99 GS300.

Right now though - There is probably nothing as good as Lexus! - Hopefully that will change!

The dealer in Hawaii is unaware of this issue. At least she seemed surprised that I was getting noise. I just hope it makes noise come next month when I drop the car off. Btw, you guys who get quick appointments w/loaner you should be happy. The wait I have just for the oil change and to check a few things was a month and a half becuase of a loaner wait.

Just got my GS back, they had it for 2 days. They install a wind noise kit and a noise kit and basically took the dash apart and felt padded everything including the AC vents. The car is once again Lexus quiet, gotta love the Lexus service committment. When I use to complain about a rattle in my old Acura, they just look at me as if I had two heads.

Default Windshield Creeking

G-Man...where in Ma is your dealership located. My 2007 GS has all the same symptons as yours. Turning, when cold etc. strofoam creeking.
When warmed up or when warm outside, creeking disappears. Still anoying as all hell. Plan to have it fixed when I bring the car in at 5,000. I would imagine at that time the weather will be better and it probably wont do it but will come back next year when the weather turns cold. Bought the car in Ma but live in Conn. Dont feel like driving up there now but I think I'll put them on notice regarding the problem.

My dealer is Lexus of Watertown, they did a very good job. I would highly recommand them. I just did a hour long road test and not one single creak. I bought up the creaking at my 1000 mile check up and it was warm that day and did not creak on the road test. The service rep was very nice. she gave me her cell phone number and told me to call her if the creak comes back and she would set up a road test.

I don't believe this!!!! I have the same problem from the beginning on 08 gs450h. Too bad... it is my first lexus, and I think the last one. I'm glad germans are coming out with hybrids...

wow, calm down, it's not the end of the world that windshield creaks, take it to the dealer on your first 1k or 5k service, drive the free loaner for a few days and pick it up. not that big of a deal.

saves from using your own gas and have fun with the loaner, german cars have worst rattles, believe me.

Default dash creaking

My 07 GS450h had this problem. after two trips to the dealer they completely removed the dash and and installed a noise kit. costing them $4200.
after replacing the dash the ring of wires at the base of the steering wheel clicked worse than the dash. after a week at the dealer and another $3600 dollars of warranty repair it finally is quiet. they were reluctant to repair it but i video taped it while driving. the loaner gs350 they gave me had the same squeak so it must be a defect.
