No love for German cars either ? That's okay because most of my cause have been Japanese or American(Vette). I have always seen German cars as having boring interiors, with hard seats. BMW's I particularly dislike as far as their interiors go very boring and too businesslike. Audi has stepped up their game both with their interiors and exteriors. With Mercedes you have to spend a lot of money to get a good interior. I was surprised at how cheap the interior on the new C350 looked.......and loaded up that is not a cheap car....about $46K!

I would definitely go with the GS350. It looks better, rides better and has performance when you call on it I have read in som magazines that the GS350 has hit 0-60 in 5.2.

if he put RS4 up there, then it would be such an easy choice.

S5 > 335i > A5 > G37 > GS350

You already have a 3GS, why get another one? If it's 4GS then maybe.

That order may be true if all you are looking for is performance in your car, but there are many other factors involve.

Yeah luxury is important too, which is what I like Lexus for, better than the stark interior of the German cars. It's just that Lexus is one of those car companies slow to change and I don't anticipate the G series changing for a couple of more years, and I don't like owning the exact same car for more than three or four years. The IS series is small for a sedan and the LS is too large and un-sporty. No good coupe like the SC400 series, so I am limited with Lexus.

I have been really into the S5 lately, even though I have not seen one. I am going to aim for that if I fall short I will probably end up with a G37.......unless a car company surprises us with something new, coming out soon, at the NY Auto Show !

That would be my order if I already had a 3GS and am looking for a replacement in the market.

I haven't owned an Audi or BMW and that's why I put those on the top. As for luxury, I've always found Audi interiors to be very elegant and refined.

I saw a black S5 the other day on the road and I was very impressed. Loved the look.

I was just reading on an Audi board and thus far the lease rates are atrocious for the S5/A5. With 3yr leases for a loaded S5 close to $1K.

Looks like if I want this car I'll have to wait until 2009 when the excitement over these cars should die down.

If I can do it over, I would not have picked the GS350. The residual value is absolutely low for the GS350. I've thought about the Audi A5 and TT, and 'm now also considering a G37, so I guess you and I have quite some in common when picking cars. G37 should be better for the money, technology, and fun-to-drive. If you dont need a sedan, dont get the GS350. I made a terrible mistake, and I'm trying to get out of it asap.

I was in A6 today, top of the line, comparable to my GS350 AWD... and I was really pleasantly suprised how good... GS is.

Audi interior is nowhere as good as Lexus - a lot more plastics, one that would be more fitting in Camry than Audi. Everything made nasty noises... MMI was actually good, everything else was bad.

A4's are nice and I spent a lot of time in them, so I though A6 would have really great interior - i mean it is good, especilly in pictures, but build quality and materials are nowhere close to Lexus... And Bose sucked big time compared to ML in GS.

Pretty interesting... made me like my GS even more!
